Fresh groceries, every week

The Riverlight pantry opens Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings at our Franklin Avenue center. Households pick their own groceries, including fresh produce, dairy, and shelf-stable staples.

In 2025 we distributed 2,600 boxes a month and 1.2 million meals for the year. No appointment is required and no household is turned away.

Tutoring that tracks each grade

We run tutoring four afternoons a week at four partner schools on the South Side and in Linden. Students in grades 3 to 8 get reading and math support in groups of five or fewer.

Last year 180 students took part, and 7 in 10 finished the year reading at or above their grade level.

Help within three business days

One-time grants cover rent, utilities, and medical bills for neighbors facing a sudden gap. A caseworker reviews each request and decides within three business days.

In 2025 we made 240 grants averaging $420 each. Referrals come from partner clinics, schools, and neighbors.
