One table in 2009, four programs today
Riverlight began in 2009 when a group of neighbors set up a folding table to hand out groceries on the Near East Side. Word spread, and within two years the table became a weekly pantry.
Today we are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit with 14 staff and 310 volunteers. We run three programs across Columbus and report our reach every month.
Our board is made up of residents, small-business owners, and two former program participants. We hire from the neighborhoods we serve.
